About Englomath Edkraft

Englomath Edkraft is a social enterprise, which intends to address the crisis in foundational learnings in English and Mathematics among the students in the class 5 to 10 category.

Various studies have shown that India has achieved high enrolment but low learning outcomes. The crisis is acute in both English and Mathematics which leaves children handicapped for life.

Only 30–45% of children can do their grade-level mathematics even in higher classes. In Class 5, only about 30% can do simple division. Among age 14–18, less than 45% can do simple division.

English language proficiency is a non-negotiable requirement in all walks of life. Studies show that only about 40% students understand basic English properly.

Skills don’t improve automatically with age. Typical schools are not designed to give personalised attention to all children.
